Foreign Patent

Any patent that arises from a patent application filed directly in a foreign country (foreign to the United States), including patents issued by organization representing groups of foreign countries.

A foreign patent will typically provide protection somewhat similar to that of the United States; however, each country may have its own idiosyncrasies and patent counsel admitted to practice in the subject foreign country should be consulted.  Your U.S. Patent Attorney will arrange representation in foreign countries at your request.
