The newly revised petition to make special process at the USPTO has resulted in the issuance of a Williamson Intellectual Property Law, LLC client patent on May 27, 2008 that was filed July 17, 2007 – less than eleven months. (U.S. Patent No. 7,377,565 for a Ball Collecting Apparatus and Method of Use Thereof.) This process is ideal for those clients who want to get their patent application through the examination process as quickly as possible to be able to enforce their patent rights. This process requires substantial additional effort in order to prepare the documentation required by the USPTO, basically providing examiners with an initial analysis of the references located during the required U.S. and foreign search and how they apply to the claims of the application.
